Yuki Sohma

Jacob was attracted to Yuki after their first meeting and this initially put a strain on their friendship. Jacob wasn't comfortable with his sexuality and the miscommunication between the pair grew while Jacob tried to wrestle with the feelings he held inside. It was only after his year-long absence from the city that he knew what he wanted. Yuki is kind and quiet with his own past shadows. The pair are similar but very different and in a perfect way they compliment each other. The feelings that Yuki inspires are new to Jacob but it's comfortable compared to those he'd been close to in the past. It wasn't perfect but their relationship belonged to them and that makes it something special.

Nida

Jacob & Nida's relationship has had a variable of ups and downs but over the months of knowing each other, the pair have grown close. It had been awkward after Jacob's year long absence but they quickly worked at being friends again. Nida was one of Jacob's combat teachers and someone he spoke to when he was uncertain of his feelings. When they first met, Jacob learned that Nida had once had someone that he cared about but for some reason, he couldn't remember them. Nida found love again and these efforts gave Jacob hope that something might be out there for him. Even if it isn't forever, time with loved ones is valuable. To date, Jacob holds Nida's opinion in high esteem.

Illyana Rasputin

Illyana is an interesting woman. She didn't believe Jacob when he told her that he was normal. Normality is hard to quantify but he defined himself as a normal dot in a sea of weirdness. She's easy to talk to and after their first couple of meetings Jacob has begun to feel a steady kinship with her. It isn't emotional but comforting. He never expected to find someone who struggled with the missing pieces of themselves in a way that was similar to Jacob's experiences. He hadn't had the chance to explain the details of his past but being near someone who understood was a pleasant change. Jacob relished the lack of pressure and awkwardness he felt around his family. He hoped that they could stay friends… after all, they've already performed a heist together.

Ignis Scientia

Jacob first met Ignis through Nida but had since become friends. Ignis taught Jacob how to cook and clean though Jacob's skills are lacking. He wants to ask Ignis to train him with blades but has somehow found it difficult to have the time. Ignis is a good person and has a mastery of Jacob's weakness… food.

Mono/Lil Shade

Mono initially told Jacob that he was searching for a lost cat but Jacob got the feeling that the young boy had been following it. It didn't bother him and after getting to know Mono he found the boy's antics amusing. He tries to help Mono have something of a childhood in the city by playing games and offering to listen to Mono's worries. Jacob can see the emotional scars that Mono tries to hide but tries not to bring it up. Sometimes it was better to just ignore those problems and focus on their time in the city. Jacob hopes that he's able to help Mono live the life of a child.

Llewellyn Watts

Detective Llewellyn Watts-Marsh 🔘 gadaboutdetective

This man greeted Jacob after his second visit to the city and was pleasant to talk to. Jacob has yet to develop a full opinion about the detective but he has learned that Llewellyn has an extensive experience with traveling between worlds. Jacob hopes that they will talk again soon though hopefully under happy circumstances.

Jagger Crow

Jacob met Jagger during a Christmas party and while it was after his return to the city, he vaguely remembered seeing Jagger on the network in the past. It didn't matter since they hadn't talked back then but Jacob found it curious. Jagger had an interesting view that differed from Jacob's, it wasn't bad but unique. After this conversion, Jacob had come to the conclusion that he can keep smoking and that he's way too used to weird shit happening. Something people shouldn't get used to.

Tommy

Jacob wouldn't consider him close to Tommy but they interacted frequently and were more than just random acquaintances. He's made a few orders for Tommy and has employed him many times while working at Gary's carpentry. They've talked about Tommy's speed and limits in the past but Jacob found it difficult for him to completely understand. He was used to people having different abilities but there was something about Tommy that Jacob wasn't sure that he'd ever understand.

Cloud Strife

Conversations with Cloud were strand. It was strange and frequently reminded Jacob of the Twilight Zone. It wasn't because Cloud is particularly aggressive but he didn't act like someone who was used to holding conversations. For Jacob's part, he was used to being around people who didn't stop talking so he was also very bad at continuing a conversation without help… Maybe one day they'll both get better at talking to each other or anyone else.

Aerith

Aerith is a charming young lady who has managed to capture Jacob's attention. He doesn't often feel a quick connection or friendship with people but this snarky flower girl had found a way. She was quick to tease him and Jacob found it easy to talk to her. They have yet to talk about anything very serious, except for the form and precision of high fives, but they have joined in a business venture together where Jake works to expand his usual work with something more exciting.

Dean

Dean reached out to Jacob once and they talked about motorcycles. They are similar in many ways though Jacob hasn’t had a chance to pick Dean's brain for more information. He hopes to show off his new bike soon but ignoring the fact that it's stolen.

Sam

They both come from weird backgrounds and that thread of similarity made the conversation interesting. They have only spoken once but Jacob liked Sam and thought that the other man was pretty cute.

Harry

As far as Jacob is concerned, they need to chat over a beer. They had spoken once after Jake had returned to the city after his year long absence and learned that Harry had a business. He wasn't planning to check the business out but a string of bad luck will quickly change that.

Lauri-El

Lauri was hard to forget. She was close to Yuki but Jacob had also had a chance to talk to her about her job in the city back before he had disappeared. He hasn't caught up with her again but he's seen her around and it looks like she's doing well having lived in the city for over a year. He's happy that Yuki had so many good friends.
